Wednesday night Study: Life, Death, Life after Death.

“A good death begins with living in the present,” says the Rev. Dr. Linda Yates, author of For The Death of Me: Accepting Death, Choosing Life.” Facing death can be difficult, and begins with living a meaningful life. In this resource for small groups or for individual spiritual study, we also explore issues of Medically Assisted Death and Euthanasia. What do you think about life after death? We learn how our worldview affects what we believe about life after death.

Thought for the Week:

Go! Make Disciples.
Lectionary Reflection for Holy Trinity Sunday,
Instead of pondering the essence of the Trinity this Sunday, why not celebrate Jesus’ call for us to live out the full expression of God’s mercy, grace, and love in the practice of making disciples? It’s a tall order, but we are not called to go it alone. We do it together, and we do it with God.

The light of the sun, the light of the moon, and the light of the air, in nature and substance are one and the same light, and yet they are there distinct lights: the light of the sun being of itself, and from none; the light of the moon from the sun; and the light of the air from them both. So the Divine Nature is one, and the persona three; subsisting, after a diverse manner, in one and the same Nature.
R. Newton.

Parish Spotlight!

Borrow a Christian Book

We have a Lending Library at the back of the church.  Three shelves on the back wall, near the entrance have been designated as lending resources.  There are may Christian books there now.  Help yourself.  If you have any good used FAITH books (non-fiction or fiction) to donate,  please give them to Pastor Lisa or drop them off to the Parish Office, we'll stamp them "St. Timothy's" and set them up for lending
